About Us

Mission and Values

The Richard K. and Shirley S. Hemingway Foundation was founded in 1987 by Richard Keith and Shirley Stranquist Hemingway to fund charitable projects in their areas of interest in Utah and Idaho. During Richard and Shirley’s lives, their major interests were the arts, education, cultural activities, and the betterment of our local communities.

Their interests are often reflected in the criteria used when awarding grants.
